ARTIST BIO

My practice explores the relationship between external reality and internal perception. Through painting, I investigate how we experience, interpret, and make sense of the world around us, and what it means to exist within it. I am drawn to the contradictions of the human condition—how we absorb, distort, and reframe our experiences while navigating our own complexities.

Painting is both a meditative and reflective process, allowing me to process experience and develop a personal understanding of the world. Grounded in observation yet open to interpretation, my work explores the balance between structure and fluidity, realism and intuition.

I am particularly interested in how light, colour, and form shape perception. Working with thin, translucent layers and wet-on-wet techniques, I create paintings that move between clarity and ambiguity, inviting a closer consideration of how we see and experience the world.
